Writer and lawyer, exploring cities, relationships, memory, and the lives we build between staying and leaving.
I spent more than twenty years practising law in St Petersburg before moving to Tbilisi. My books grew out of that change – from leaving one city, learning another, and noticing how much of a life is hidden in ordinary details.
I write fiction and literary nonfiction about St Petersburg and Tbilisi, love and money, memory and choice, and those moments when people have to decide what to keep, what to leave, and what to begin again.
